Covert and clandestine operations are operations that are planned and
executed with the goal of either concealing the identity of or the
sponsor or concealing the operation itself. National intelligence
agencies (for example, America's CIA, the UK's MI6, and Pakistan's ISI)
regularly partake in such operations in foreign nations. Examples
include, but are not limited to, sabotage, assassination, support for
insurgencies or coup d'etats, intelligence gathering by people or hidden
sensors, and networks with foreign operatives.
